With the 2017 New York Auto Show now ended, it’s time to make a quick wrap-up about the most interesting announcements. It has been a remarkable journey, especially for power-focused vehicles.

The 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon

This one is simply insane. The 2018 Challenger SRT Demon was a long-awaited muscle car that enjoys 840 horsepower, a pointless number of ponies that are about to give us a lot of fun. This production car will be around 9 seconds when it comes to quarter-mile speeds. Times from zero to 60? Around 2.3 seconds. All this power comes relatively cheap, for US$85,000.

The 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk

A relative from the Demon we previously mentioned, the 2018 Grand Cherokee Trackhawk will be the most powerful production SUV, period. Even dreaded German models in the segment are going to be left behind by the Hemi-based powerplant, which produces 707 horsepower. We talked about this precious beast on the blog.

The 2018 Lamborghini Huracan Performante

The Italian supercar maker decided to raise the bar on this one. Beating a remarkable track record held by Porsche and its insane 918 Spyder, the Huracan Performante is now the king on the road, at least in its demanding segment. Read more about it here.

The 2018 Mercedes-AMG E63 S Wagon

Looking for an angry sedan that can provide comfort to your entire family? This AMG beast is your best shot. The 2018 E63 S Wagon is a mix between coziness and luxury for the family with a total of 603 mad ponies. The price? Beyond the US$105,000-mark.

The 2018 Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo

One of the major surprises during the event was this Porsche wagon, something that only a few was actually expecting. This new model takes the best from the best-selling Panamera and delivers a family-fun experience. Here you can read more.

The 2018 Volvo S90

We must say that Volvo was one of the noisiest players during the event and a proof of that is the 2018 S90. This massive luxury sedan could be prettier but it’s a solid bet for the brand’s future. They are trying to leave behind their old reputation and here is what we got. The base price will be close to US$50,000.

The 2018 Buick Regal TourX

Buick is trying really hard to get back in the game. Following the new American fever for wagons, we are now seeing another model. The 2018 Regal TourX is taking a lot of its siblings and even inspiration from external agents. Nevertheless, the result is attractive. The base price is estimated at US$35,000.

Other Remarkable Announcements

We ran out of words but there are other announcements we must highlight. Buick also brought the 2018 Enclave and the Regal Sportback to the event. We saw the fresh TT RS Sport and RS5 from Audi, bringing important updates with them.

Hyundai surprised with its revamped 2018 Sonata and Honda with the 2018 Clarity, an electric vehicle with great potential. Talking about unpleasant surprises, Lincoln presented the really ugly Navigator, a new edition that isn’t pleasant.

Volvo also announced the luxurious 2018 XC60, a fantastic SUV that we already addressed the blog.
