After long years holding an outstanding record as the fastest supercar in the world, the Bugatti Veyron met the end of its production. As a replacement, the Chiron came and the public was quite pleased.
The rumors were abundant and we had to wait some time before knowing more details and, finally, see it hitting the road. After all, the wait worth it. Bugatti delivered a supercar that was carefully crafted in other to deliver over-the-top results, beyond any expectation.
In order to break the records, the Veyron enjoyed, the Chiron was packed with a quad-turbocharged and intercooled DOHC 64-valve 8-litre W-16 powerplant. This monstrous engine is totally capable of producing up to 1500 horsepower at 6700 rpm and 1180 lb-ft at 2000 rpm.
Along with this powerplant, the 2017 Chiron has a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox with manual shifting mode. This hardware allows this supercar to go from zero to 60 mph in just 2.3 seconds and from zero to 100 mph in 4.8 seconds. Regarding the top speed, which is the focus of attention, is electronically limited to 261 mph (460 km/h).
The structure for the 2017 Chiron is the same as the classic Veyron, made of carbon fiber along with an independent suspension. The curb weight is estimated at 4400 pounds.
Before knowing about the Chiron, Bugatti developed the Veyron Super Sport, which was a window to progression. After producing 450 units of the Veyron, main engineers had the chance to fix most problems and creating a super machine without failing in the same mistakes.

At the same time, the cooling system had to improve in order to keep the heat under control. With a slightly modified W-16, the Chiron is producing more heat than its predecessor, which is logical by having more firepower.
More than 50,000 points of data are being monitored and adjusted by the several control computers that are functioning onboard the Chiron. These are responsible for delivering the proper traction through the AWD system and keeping the right conditions for things like acceleration, aerodynamics, cooling, and breaking.
